30 Days- Day 9

i am really loving this 30 days of blogging!!!! Its great to have a daily prompt, so I know longer skip blogging bc i have nothing to think of to blog lol. so here we are, Day 9 :)

Day 9- Something you're proud of in the past few days

Well, this may be stupid, but i'm proud that i finally lost 5lbs (part of the 10 that i gained after Sailor Man came home). I haaate working out and limiting my food (which is hard to do since I'm breastfeeding Itty Bitty and have to keep my food intake up). So instead of doing that, I have completely taken out my addiction to soda. It was crazy, i used to drink upwards of 6 cans of Mountain Dew a day. it was baaaad! And sure, i may still have the occasional Soda if I'm out and about, but for the most part I have replaced it with either Tea or Water or Lemonaid.

so i may seem pretty self involved, but im proud of that 5lbs lol! 5 more till im at pre Itty Bitty weight, and then 10 more after that to get to pre princess weight :)

30 Days- Day 7

day 7- a picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

This blog is easy. At first, i was going to have my daughters as the ones who had made the biggest impact on my life. But then i realized...I wouldn't have had my daughters if i had never met my husband. So...my darling Sailor Man is the topic of today's blog.

A Friend teases me occasionally (all in good fun) about having married my high school sweetheart. I LOVE the fact that Sailor Man and i met so young and finished our "growing up years" together. We met at 15, started dating at 17, and got married at 19. And by met at 15, i mean he sat in front of me in class and was too shy to get up the nerve to talk to me <3 awwwww lol! Thank goodness I called him fat one day and MADE him talk to me ;)

Oh, and did I mention he knocked me up at 18? lol. Man...when we saw those 2 pink lines show up on a test...talk about a range of emotions! Boy did THAT change our lives! He could have done what many many boys do when faced with an unexpected pregnancy, and ran far far away as fast as possible. But not him. He truly, in ever meaning of the word, MANNED up. In his mind, there was never an other option than to grow up and for us to become a family.

Fast Forward 1 year. We are married and have a little 3 month old Princess. He is working full time at Publix in the bakery and im waitressing. We are living in this pretty crappy apartment (ugh, i DO NOT miss that place lol) and making ends meet...but not leaving much room for error. Guess who quits her job bc a customer spits in her face and the manager didn't back me up? and then guess who decided, after a lot of soul searching, to join the US Navy? It was the best way to provide for our family, and he did it. For Us. He was always more mature than his age when it came to our family.

Fast Forward another year. Princess is 15 months old. Sailor Man has just returned from his first deployment, and boy are we happy to have him back!!! Thats another thing he sacrificed for us...watching most of our daughters first year of life. He enlisted when she was 4 months old, went to bootcamp, then straight to A School. After he graduated A School, he had a 2 1/2 week leave period and then was flown to meet the boat on its deplyoment. 5 months after that, he was home.

Fast Forward 2 more years, bringing us to present day :) We are now 22 and as you know, added another little girl into our family. Growing up, I always wanted 2 daughters. And he gave that to me. We own our own home, which is very satisfying and annoying at the same time. He made this possible for us. We have a strong marriage, tho we annoy the hell out of eachother some times. Most times, he is the perfect husband, so he makes it easy to be married to him.

I honestly have NO idea where I would be in life if it wasnt for him. I dont even want to picture it.

Baby Cakes...I'm so thankful I called you FAT!

And for my followers enjoyment....Sailor Man rocking his footsie PJ's!!!

30 Days- Day 6

Day 6- Favorite Superhero and Why

I dont have one. Never really got into any of that stuff as a kid or adult

Mini rant

ok, here is my little rant for the week.

WHY on earth would you call your boyfriend your "hubby" or "husband"?

any answers?

I hate little girls who run around saying that. Bc seriously...until he has put a ring on it and you sign on the dotted line, he is not your husband...he is your boyfriend/fiance. Go ahead and spout the usual "we dont need a piece of paper to make us official" blah blah blah. Bc OBVIOUSLY you feel like something is lacking if you so desperately need to reassure yourself that he is yours by calling him that before he truly is.

Why does this bug me? i honestly have NO idea! All i know is, i looked forward with such excitement, to day when I would finally be able to call Sailor Man my husband. I remember how anytime i would say it after our wedding, i would get little butterflies. He had already been my boyfriend, then my fiance, and then my 'baby daddy' (lol!). But the most important title was deff worth waiting for.

Eh, if you dont like this blog, it really wont affect me. Know why? Because I have a marriage certificate ;)

Next Weeks rant will be about Cheating Navy Wives :) Stay Tuned, Kiddos <3

Sisterly Love

So earlier today I mentioned on FB that Itty Bitty was abnormally fussy today. I chalked it up to teething. Poor baby was sooooo irritated and only wanted to be held, yet would still cry even while be held. Well, It was time to start making dinner for Princess and I, meaning i HAD to put Itty Bitty down. I put her on the floor with her big sister and lo and behold...she stopped crying! she is now currently laying down and staring at Monkey, while she "talks" and giggles at her! I guess she just wanted some sisterly time and i am more than willing to give it to her lol! Especially since she yells at me if i try to pick her back up haha

i love my girls <3

30 Days- Day 2

day 2- the meaning behind your blog name

The meaning behind my blog name. Hmmm. Well, my blog was originally called "Dear Deployment, We Hate You..." bc i started it while Sailor Man was deployed. Once he came home, i was racking my mind on what to rename it. Took me a few days but I Finally settled on the name "Inside the Insanity...of our Everyday Lives". It just kinda popped in my head and rung a bell. Not that im calling our day to day life insane or anything bad like that. I just feel that those of us who are Navy Wives and Moms, that we live with a little insanity from time to time. Our children can drive us crazy. The ships schedule can cause a gray hair. Our responsibility's may make us a little batty every once in a while. things are always breaking and/or needing replaced. Etc Etc Etc.

A little insanity is never a bad thing...it makes life interesting :)

30 Days- Day 1

So for my first post on the 30 days of Blogging, im supposed to post a recent picture of myself and 15 interesting facts. hmmm, can i think of 15 things? lol. Here Goes

My Picture Taken 8-20-2010

15 Interesting Facts
1. My Favorite color is yellow. which you can tell from the pic above lol or from the fact that i drive a bright yellow car. and by that i mean BRIGHT yellow lol
2. I Love Banana Sandwhiches
3. I eat mayonaise on my hotdogs. Which completely disgusts most people i know
4. I used to hate my name when I was younger. Now i love it, bc its just a little bit different.
5. Some days i actually forget that my Dad isnt my biological father. That just goes to show what an amazing man he is and how grateful I am to have him as a dad.
6. I absolutely HATE math. In fact, in HS my husband would do my math homework for me. My math teacher new about it, but never docked me a grade, for which i am eternally grateful!
7. I always knew I wanted 2 daughters. I never wanted to have a boy. I would much rather deal with ribbons and curls than a penis, thank you very much.
8. My husband and i started discussing marriage about 2 weeks into our relationship. I dont think we had even said "I Love You' yet lol
9. And speaking of my Sailor Man, I'm sure most of you know the story of how we started dating. I Called him fat. Yup, I sure did. Best end result of an insult ever <3
10. All of HS, I planned on joining the military. Was leaning towards the Marines or CG actually. Instead, I ended up being a Navy Wife. I Love it, but somedays I wish I was the one in uniform.
11. I am DEATHLY afraid of the Movies Candy Man and Chuckie. Yes, I really am. Ask my momma or sister lol.
12. If it chirps, buzzes, flies or slithers, it should be dead in my book. I hate bugs and anything related to bugs.
13. I'm insanely proud of how far my husband and i have come in the past 4 1/2 years. We went from being 18, engaged and pregnant, living in low income housing-to being- 22, married with 2 kids, owning our own home.
14.I used to be THE worst housewife ever lol. no seriously, poor Sailor Man had to come home to a messy house and everything like that. Now i take pride in having all the chores done while hes at work. He is an amazing husband and deserves to come home to a pretty house and happy family <3
15. Crap, i ran out of interesting stuff to say lol!

Dear Blog...

My poor neglected blog! did you miss me? Crap, i need to start posting in you more, before you throw a fit and start deleting my old posts! ;)

So today is the 18th. Meaning the Sailor Man has been home for about 23 days. Meaning that I have been enjoying the best 23 days of my young life. I find myself still walking around at times with this huge sloppy grin on my face, bc i am so extremely happy to have him back where he belongs. The Princess still cant get enough of her daddy, its so adorable! but the poor thing freaks out on duty days, where he is gone for over 24 hours straight. He's not even ON duty today (just a regular work day) and she has asked me FOUR TIMES where her daddy is and if "daddy left on the boat". Her anxiety is totally understandable. the past 7 months of her life that he was gone is AGES in toddler years! Even Sailor Man is overwhelmed with how much she changed while he was gone. Shit, How much we have ALL changed!!!!

And oh my word, Itty Bitty freaking learned how to roll over 2 days ago! Seriously! I wanted to freaking bawl my eyes out lol! she is my very last baby (yes hunny, i refuse to carry anymore of your kiddos!) and I want her to slow down with everything! she is freaking powering thru all of her milestones and its great, but sad, at the same time! oh wait, there is ONE milestone she hasnt hit yet. I am still impatiently waiting for her to have her first laugh, first giggle! she is just so damn serious that she is holding it back lol! I never realized how SERIOUS a 3 month old could be! all she wants to do it chew on her fingers and mean mug at me, all day long. silly little girl, you better watch out bc Momma WILL get that giggle somehow!!! *insert evil laugh here*

Hmm...what else has gone on? Oh yes, my PARENTS have moved back down to Florida! Join me for a HUUUUUUGE "woot woot"! heck yes. It is awesome having them living only 50 minutes from me again! The girls will finally have them as constant grandparents again, like how my in laws have been. No more planning trips to VA, no more loooong 14 hour drives. Now i just have to drive less than an hour to be at there house, totting two girls ready for gamma and papa kisses!

I got an amazing, tho short =(, visit from my BFF t his past week! she finally got to meet Itty bitty and im pretty sure she fell head over heels like the rest of us lol. We hadn't seen each other since freaking APRIL and boy was it glad to have her back where she belongs (FL) again! Our girls night out was AMAZING and the pictures are hilarious! I felt a little bad that her last night here involved a bunch of us going up to the ER...but that is a story I will never tell ;) I love that fact that no matter how long we can go between calls and texts, that our friendship still remains as strong as ever. hell, we had to go months without talking bc of a certain "person" and the minute we got back together again, it was like no time passed. If ya'll reading it dont have that kind of friendship with someone, i feel bad for you...and I hope you eventually find it! (just not with BFF, bc she is MINE hoes lol)

Time to sign off, so i can go do my hair and makeup. Sailor Man will be home from work soon and i want him to come home to a clean house, happy daughters, and pretty wife.

xoxo
